We had the honor of helping plan and coordinate the beautiful wedding of Lauren Onis & Chad Bellmare on May 12, 2012 at NY’s famed Pierre Hotel. Every aspect and detail of this lavish wedding was planned and designed to reflect the upscale, classic and elegant New York wedding our client had envisioned. After several meetings and discussions on style and color the stunning, lush floral centerpieces were created by Klavdiya of Diana Gould ltd. Lighting design by Bumni of Frost Lighting set the tone and feel throughout the entire ballroom and the The Hank Lane band led by leader Michael Hart had people on their feet all night long. We will be patiently waiting for the professional shots taken by Arthur of Hechler Photographers but until then we leave you with a few snapshots we took to document the day. We wish Lauren & Chad a lifetime of happiness together and are so happy we could be a part of their special day!
I thought I would share with you a list of Spring flowers that are generally available and in season to help all you with your floral planning.

Narcissus * White – January- April
Ranunculus * white, pink, red, orange and yellow * February-May
Waxflower * pinky purple and white
Tulips have always been one of my favorite flowers to design with. They can easily be arranged to feel crisp and classic or sleek and modern. They are a simple beauty with their graceful form and work well alone or mixed with other flowers. Great quality tulips are usually readily available in the Northeast from February through the end of April. Last year I designed a centerpiece for a Bar Mitzvah client at NY’s Espace. I combined two different style tulips with elegant orchids and square vases to create this beautiful look.
I have had the pleasure and good fortune of working with event designer Klavdiya Solovyev at Diana Gould Ltd. for many years now. Her flare for layering color and texture with just the right amount of subtlety has become her signature style that I just can’t get enough of. When she sent me these photos of a recent wedding she did I just couldn’t get enough of them. They are simply stunning! She used deep purple and fuchsia orchids, hydrangea, roses, calla lilies and snap dragon all styled in various glass vases with crystal accents at the base throughout the room to create an exciting yet elegant look. All is complimented beautifully by the wash of purple uplighting to highlight the rooms architectural detail. What do you think of this look?
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday this year so there is sure to be many lucky brides that are going to be kissed whether or not they are Irish-lol! But for those of you who are Irish or marrying an Irishman and want to embrace the spirit of the day here are a few ideas that will hopefully inspire you!
So it’s still the middle of Winter here in NY and so many of us are counting the days until the first warm Spring breeze fills the air and Spring fever officially set in. But Spring bulbs such as Tulips and Daffodils are already available thanks to our friends over in Holland. So go ahead…be the first to usher in the Spring season with beautiful centerpiece looks such as this one.
My beautiful brides came to me with an open mind regarding the wedding colors, flowers and fonts. What they were dead set on was a cohesive, fun, and joyous feeling for their wedding day at the beautiful L’ Escale restaurant located in the Delamar Hotel in the in Greenwich, CT. High style was high on their list with ivory cocktail length dresses with champagne and black sashes and bold bouquets of fuchsia roses and green cymbidium orchids. Beautiful organza overlays with celedon green underlays and lush, textured and colorful centerpieces of hydrangea, orchids, and gloriosa lilies complete this festive, elegant look.
